NORD Advocacy Academy

Beginning in 2025, this course is available to NORD organizational members and their communities as part of their NORD membership.

About the Academy

Policymakers and their staff need to hear from the frontline voices of people impacted by rare disease.

In under 90 minutes, the Academy’s 12 online training videos will give you the confidence and tools you need share to your story effectively. Each course is accompanied by an online quiz to reinforce key points. Once completed, you will receive a certificate recognizing the commitment you made to be an effective advocate.

FAQs

If your organization is a NORD member, you can enroll in the course through the enroll button on the course page for free. Log-in credentials are emailed to enrollees within 48 business hours after completing the enrollment form.

Yes! Staff, Board Members, and Volunteers are able to access the course. We suggest sharing the link with them directly to invite them to sign up. Please ensure they enter your organization name in the registration form to verify access.

Alternatively, you can enroll multiple members of your organization on their behalf if you have their name and email addresses. Please fill out and upload this Group Sign-Up Template. It must be in .csv format. In addition to the name and email, you should create each user name and password. Once complete, fill out the information on the NORD Advocacy Academy sign-up form and upload your file.
